The Mater Dei M.E. Community shared its Prayer Gathering format to the North Quezon City Cluster by hosting one Prayer Gathering last Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Violago Chapel . Despite the rain, (the first schedule was cancelled due to bad weather also) the turn out of the cluster’s constituency showed a good number of representation. The MDMEC welcomed the presence of All for Jesus ME.Community, Blessed Sacrament M.E. Community, Holy Mother of God, Immaculate Concepcion Parish, Jesus the Great Servant, La Santa Trinita M.E. Community and Yaweh and acknowledges also the presence of our MEFP President Couple Robert Tinette Aventajado.
The color of purple as represented by La Santa Trinita livened up the evening especially when they took center stage for their Joyful Songs and Praises.
The solemnity of the prayer on ACTS (Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving and Supplication) led by Couples Lj Emma Garcia of Mater Dei M.E. Community with musical accompaniment provided by our Mater Dei Music Ministry rendered a deepening spiritual gain.
After the prayer rituals, the group had the privilege of listening to the talk by Bro. Francis Jonathan. Bro. Francis elaborated on the words “you are the body of Christ” by citing one’s sense of commitment to serve the Lord. He said, “Being a member of a Community is a calling and it is your deep sense of commitment that will carry you through in this endeavor.”
Brother Francis Jonathan is a former seminarian of the Holy Rosary Seminary, Naga City. He is a member of Catholic Lay Preachers of the Phils. (CALAPP) . Jokingly, Bro Francis’ surname is Sumayao but his honed talent is singing and dedicates this talent as Christian Recording Artist to serve the Lord on a full time basis for the past 20 years. |
