MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING
1. All regular and charter members of the Community as of December 31, 2006,
who have paid their Annual Dues for the year 2007 on or before February 23, 2007, have been determine by the Board of Trustees as members in good standing, and as such, are eligible to vote in the March 2, 2007 elections.
QUALIFICATION OF CANDIDATES
2. The qualification of candidates shall be based on Article IV, Section 2 of the Amended By-Laws.
PROCEDURE IN VOTING
3. The administrative procedure for the conduct of the elections shall be under the direct control and supervision of the Committee on Elections (COMELEC).
4. The voting process shall be administered by a COMELEC which shall promulgate and administer the rules and regulations necessary in the election of the Board of Trustees.
5. The COMELEC shall be the sole and final judge of all contests relating to the elections, returns and qualifications of such officers, and decide all questions affecting such elections, including the right to vote.
6. Voting for the Board of Trustees shall be by secret ballot. Only eligible members in good standing, shall be allowed to vote for as many nominees as there are positions for Trustees, but each voter may not cast more than one vote for each nominee. Election shall be by plurality.
7.Voting by proxy shall be allowed only by one spouse on behalf of the other.
8. The ballots shall be filled up after the homily and before the Offertory Procession during the First Friday Mass of March 2, 2007.
9. Qualified members shall deposit their ballots in a box located in front of the altar. Ballots shall be cast first by those seated in the first pew, to be followed by those seated in the new pew (s).
10. The ballots shall contain a minimum of SIX (6), and a maximum of NINE (9) nominees. Ballots with less than six (6) or more than nine (9) nominees shall be invalidated.
COUNTING OF VOTES
11. The COMELEC shall conduct the counting of the votes in an open and
transparent manner at the MDMEC Office immediately after the First Friday Mass.
12. Members and/or candidates shall be allowed to observe the counting of votes, but shall not be allowed to interfere therein.
13. All election materials shall be kept by the COMELEC for a period of TEN (10) days after the counting, and shall be disposed of thereafter.
PROCLAMATION OF ELECTED SERVANT LEADERS
14. Servant leaders who have been elected shall be proclaimed before the Community on March 9, 2007 during the Prayer Gathering.
