Class 258 concluded its 10th deepening last 14 June 2009 at the residence of Shepherd Edwin Richie Rebollido with Shep Jun Adel Tambasacan as resource persons.
From the time we had our first deepening, most of us experienced frustrations, failures, and disappointments. Problems arose everywhere (all kinds!). But, we thank Shepherds Edwin Richie Rebollido for their persistence, selfless love, dedication and service to our Lord! If not for them, we will not be able to understand fully the purpose of what we were doing. Coupled with that concern, we were lucky to have as classmates Jess Merly Versoza who untiringly provided rides for our activities. We certainly recognize the Divine intervention playing a major role in all these things happening to the members of our Class.
We are happy that after our M.E.Weekend, we continued attending our Deepenings. As the Bible reads “ .. well pleased rather than to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” It is not easy to serve, we know it, but we are willing to sacrifice just to be with the Lord. And so the Deepenings were considered important reunions for all of us.
As individual couples, we realized how fulfilling it was to have God in the midst of our relationship. As a class, we felt His hand at work as He made things run smoothly despite so many odds especially when we sponsored the MEW last November 21-23 2008 in Tagaytay.
God has worked wondrous miracles. He has blessed us and answered our prayers. For the last 10 months, God has showered the members of the class with so many blessings, from couples learning to dialogue, accepting God in their lives and wholeheartedly putting themselves into His service, providing jobs to those previously unemployed, and gifting 4 ME babies to Rexy Gina Leaño, Lando Phine Rodriguez, Jones DeeAnn Rose and to Arwin Lucille Garcia . Truly God is good!!
The class also shared the joys and pains in preparing for the church marriages of 4 classmate couples in the Mater Dei sponsored Mass Wedding at Sto. Domingo Church last February 22, 2009. The couples who received the Sacrament of Matrimony were Eddie Angie Rabor, Jess Merlyn Versoza, Niño Leah Frencillo, and Bert Jenny Gregorio. Prior to the wedding, Bro Eddie Rabor received the sacrament of Baptism and was accepted to the Catholic faith. The class felt so blessed by his decision.
On 17 August 2009, our Class will celebrate its first year anniversary. Class 258 remains very enthusiastic, very eager, and with confidence, shall continue to serve the Lord through the Mater Dei M.E. Community.
