The Installation of Workers who would serve for 2009 – 2010 was made last July 3, 2009 during the First Friday Mass officiated by our Spiritual Adviser, Fr. Domie Guzman.
The commentator for the mass was Sis. Miriam Santos of Class 95. The First Reading was delivered by Bill Ding Zamora of Class 29 while the Responsorial Psalm was led by Neil Letty Gepilano of Class 125. The Prayers of the Faithful was given by Demet Rose Araniego of Class 81.
The Offertory was led by the Incoming Head Couples of the different Ministries winding up with the Water and Wine Offering by Ed Cora Depano and the Host offering by Willie Rose Montales.
The Installation Rites was held after the Communion rites with LJ Emma Garcia, representing the Board of Trustees, awarding Certificates of Recognition to the past workers of the different ministries. Then, the names of the incoming Head Couples were called as Rene Cherry Manuel read the descriptive functions of the respective ministry. Sam Lulou Asia together with Fr. Domie installed and witnessed every couple signing the Apostolic Oath of Office. All members of each ministry also stood by in support of their respective ministry’s commitment and posed for posterity.
Fr. Domie delivered his Inspirational Talk by saying, “All of you were called to serve and each one of you should say ‘I am your servant , Lord Jesus’. To the Head Couples, he reminded that heading a ministry does not mean being the boss. You must remain to be the same worker providing for the best service you can offer to the Lord. Remember, all workers are equal in the vineyard of the Lord. Therefore in Mater Dei M.E. Community, he said, “pare-pareho kayong magtatrabaho para sa Panginoon. ‘wag na kayo mag away-away” …was his fatherly advice.
It was a rare occasion for new and younger batches to meet and rub elbows with some elders and original members of MDMEC. Hence, Stan Bimbo Santos took the opportunity to announce the creation of the Council of Elders and called in three pioneering members to give their own messages.
Romy Remy Lagman shared the kind of service they have rendered. He reminisced on the strong bonding they have because they always meet, had fellowships, and everyone was committed to the apostolate. The challenges of their time became the zeal and there was the enthusiasm to build a strong community … a community built on structures…
“We walked the journey and each step is a reminder that we walk to serve only one Lord,” he said.
Vigie Nelly Ventura shared their struggles and gained their wisdom in saying “For every failure there is a second chance. We should learn to heed the life of Forgiveness, Healing, Calling or Enlisting and Acceptance.”
Lony Rhodora Bohol gave a reminder that service requires sacrifice and causes suffering and dissected inspiration from the daily spiritual message “HIS CALL TO SERVICE ”.
Which read as follows……
“It can appear in these moment of your life that you are giving something up. What you do not see is that the more you serve Me and the more you abandon yourself to My call, the more grace you receive. Only in heaven will you have complete understanding but let it be noted that heavenly pleasures come through you, blessing you and then spread out, blessing all those around you.
Thank you for helping heaven. Thank you for helping those around you. And
thank you for helping Me. Regardless of your suffering and regardless of your
sacrifices, there will be a moment when you will thank Me for allowing you to
participate in this.”
Fr. Domie administered his final blessings and the Music Ministry livened up the evening with their songs of joy and praises.
To the newly installed workers, our Congratulations! |
