The Installation of workers for the year 2010-2011 was held last Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Violago Chapel, Quezon City. Fr. Domie Guzman, our Spiritual Director installed the workers and acted as presiding priest for the Friday mass.
Fr. Domie greeted the community by saying that it was truly a wonderful night because despite the heavy rain and heavy traffic, the workers came whole-heartedly. Indeed, it showed they truly have the heart and mind on being the servant to the Lord.
The First Reading was read by Bro. Sam Asia while the Responsorial Psalm was led by Sis. Cherry Manuel. Sis. Vicky Contreras led the Prayers of the Faithful.
In his Homily, Fr. Domie cited that that night was a special night for the community. “Ito ang panahon para italaga ang mga membro na gagawa sa Apostolado. Sapagka’t ang pagpapatakbo ng community ay hindi lang depende sa itaas.” It is the workers who bear the task of seeing the nitty-gritty of things, to ensure the cascading of the policies and programs are smoothly implemented.
As Fr. Domie gave reference to the First Reading, he said the message is one “pabaon ng Panginoon”.- dapat titingnan natin na ang ating gagawin ay accountable sa Panginoon. We then are reminded that, we build the community by our relationship with the Lord. It should bear an expression of gratitude.
Hence the Installation Proceedings started with the awarding of Certificates of Service to the previous workers (2009-2010) with BOT Couples Jun Adel Tambasacan reading the names while BOT President Couple Ding Susan Mayor awarded the Certificates to the Head Couples and Chaircouples as follow: Noy Gay Manalo (MLA) Rey Let Varilla (Worship Ministry) Jun Mylene Pineda (SGA) Ding Susan Mayor (FLA) Rolly Malicdem (ORA) Jojie Fe Guballa (Music Ministry) Felix Norly Lachica (RTD) Arced Nancy Condes (Central Secretariat) Nelson Lilian Morales (TSE) Tito Rheda Catacutan (Temporalities) Noni Baby Pascual (Info & Publ.) and Rey Baby Cruz ( Gen. Before the end of the mass, the Council of Elders, Couples Lony Rhodora Bohol, Romy Remy Lagman and Vigie Nelly Ventura joined Fr. Domie in administering a Pray Over Ritual for all the workers.
“The Harvest is great but the workers are few. Thank you for the couples who made
themselves available. Renew their mind, body and spirit, bless them with resources to
have enough for the families as they give themselves to serve the community. Fill them
also with the fruit of the Holy Spirit , love, peace, self control as they do their work. Reward them Lord for their work and bless their families for they stand as effective witnesses to
the truth of the Gospel.”
For the final Blessing, Fr. Domie included the message “Begin the Good work in you and the Lord will be able to fulfill it in you.”
Then the song, If We Hold On Together” made the entire assembly join hands and made themselves as one big circle … one bundle of workers together they held on so the MDMEC dream will never die. |
