A Family Encounter Weekend Seminar was held last May 29-31, 2009 at the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) Retreat House, Mapayapa Village, Quezon City. Five fascinating families kissed and made up as they saw the joy of keeping the family intact. They also learned to understand and to support each other in the name of Love.

Through the Family Life Apostolate headed by Head Couple Ding Susan Mayor, the Mater Dei M.E. Community sought to achieve its mission of strengthening families. The 45th Family Encounter Weekend Seminar was facilitated by Fr. Domie Guzman, SSP, as Team Priest and the Giron and Perez Families as Team Families A & B, respectively. The weekend seminar was sponsored by F.E.W.S. Class 44.

The Fascinating Families include: CHING Family (Marvin, Niña, John Khyle and Gwen), DACASIN Family (Rey Tess, Jan Paolo, Jo Anisse, Swis An, Guan Poupe and Feby Mary), MORALES Family (Nelson, Lilian, Erroking, Reina Lyria and Ernelson, Jr.), RUSTRIA Family (Ernie, Au, Maria Abigail and Robelyn), and SANTOS Family (Emer, Susan, Micah Shaemer, Bernice, Joanne Claire, and Cathleen Joy).
