The Second Quarter Workers Assembly was held last Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Victoria Building, Quezon City. Participated in by 74 attendees, the workshop promised a more unified and prayerful relationship among members of the Mater Dei M.E. Community.
The sessions started with Sis. Mylene Pineda leading the Opening prayers. This was followed by the opening remarks of BOT_Pres. Samie Asia. Bro. Sam reiterated his call for support for the up-coming major project on building our own Center and expects the Heads of the different Apostolates and Ministries to mobilize their workers in turning this big dream of the Mater Dei M.E. Community into reality.
BOT Secretary Cherry Manuel followed by presenting and explaining the Board Resolutions undertaken from January to present then dwelt on the importance of the Dress Code for our activities especially the First Friday Mass and the Prayer Gatherings at Violago.
Bro. Domeng Rodillas, our Resource Speaker, reinforced Bro. Sam’s message with his talk on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. He stressed that having a Community Center for Mater Dei must be everyone’s dream. Therefore, service to the community should be gleaned not because one is an apostolate but as a member of a community working for its common mission.
The workshop proper set the participants in high moods with the topic “Ano ang ating gagawin para sa ikagaganda ng Community?” “Paano natin ito gagawin?”
