3rd Invitational Golf Tournament

The 3rd Invitational Golf Tournament was held last 27 April 2008 at the Veterans Golf Club. Sixty six (66) players joined the tournament. Having served at the registration table of the tournament last year, we could say that we’ve seen familiar faces in this year’s tournament. It means that MDEMC golf tournament has found its own regular supporters.

Many players and other members of the community stayed up to the last part of the ceremonies, maybe because of the wholesome and joyous entertainment prepared by the Golf Tournament Committee. And while the players were trying to hit the balls in the golf course, spectators hit the floor with the very danceable music provided by Willy San Juan and his daughter. ORA workers also conducted a mini bingo social while our members were waiting for the players to finish their game. MDMEC members are always in their max in doing things. When serving, it’s service to the max. When having fun, it’s to the max too. Who says that the children of God do not know how to have fun?

Appreciation and commendation goes to the Golf Tournament Committee composed of Class 149, led by Shepherd Lorenz Weng Tabilog. This group never stops in improving the tournament that is why it gets better each year. We cannot also discount the support given by the Board of Trustees and other workers and members of the community.

The financial report is still being prepared and it will be published as soon as it is available.

We hope that next year’s tournament would be as successful as this one. But knowing the Golf Tournament Committee, we’re so excited to see what’s in store for our next tournament.
