For Mater Dei ME Community’s co-sponsorship of The Healing Eucharist which was held last September 02, 2007, we had as our guests Mayor Benjamin C. Abalos, Jr. and Mrs. Carmelita A. Abalos, their children, and some ladies from Mandaluyong City. Music for the Sunday TV Mass was provided by the Awit Papuri Music Ministry.

A few days before the scheduled Mass, we were informed by the management of Channel 2 that our time slot will be moved earlier from 7AM to six o’clock in the morning. This caused a bit of a stir because we had to inform everybody--our guests, our choir, our members--of the change in schedule. In fact, it was only three days before the Mass that the guests, who earlier agreed to the 7AM schedule, confirmed their availability for (or willingness to attend) the earlier time slot. Fr. Bel San Luis, during the Mass, even jokingly mentioned that “parang simbang gabi na yung schedule natin”. Anyway, the earlier schedule did not dampen the enthusiasm of the TV Mass attendees because Studio 5 of ABS-CBN was full packed. This just goes to show that people will not mind a little sacrifice if the same is for the Lord.
