The Workers’ Orientation II held last August 8, 2010 at the GSMEC Love Center, Victoria Building, Quezon City gave way to the presentations of the plans and programs of the different Ministries and Apostolates. While the other ministries seem to have their reports quite manageably approved the Ministry on Temporalities needed much of the commitments and supports of the rest of the ministries and the entire community al well.
Chaircouple Abet Coy Pangcog bared their plans and programs to raise funds . The primary objective is to have a sustainable Operating Budget and to launch big projects targeted for the realization of the Community ‘s dream of having our own Community Center.
The following Short-term Projects were approved for implementation and was formally launched to the General Membership last Friday , August 13, 2010 at Violago. Chapel during the Prayer Gathering.
SMALL TIME APPLIANCE RAFFLE (STAR) - which will be headed by Couples Ben Letty Bernardo, Omar Rose Mayo and Ric Sally Rey, provides for the sale of 500 raffle booklets with ten (10) tickets per booklet. Each ticket will cost P20 and shall have on stake electrical appliances (to be solicited ) as prizes. The Raffle date is tentatively set on October 29, 2010.
LIMA PARA KAY MARIA will be led by Couples Ric Glen Ignacio
This project aims to encourage the saving of Five Peso coins by dropping them in a tin can with corresponding project label.
Together with this project, the Community will launch “Prinsesita Ng Mater Dei” Contest.
Candidates will raise funds using the tin cans and the ones who can submit the most number of filled cans will be the winner.
Prinsesita Contest Culmination will be on December 8, 2010 in time with the celebration of the Feast of Immaculate Conception.
The committee will accept fully-filled Tin cans on the last Friday of the months of September, October and November .
ONE THOUSAND CLUB- Chaired by Daboy Chat Castro with members Boy Chit Escosio, Romy Remy Lagman, Len Migo Vargas, and Gonio Remy Yorobe.
The One Thousand Club is an extension of the current Pledges. Members who are currently contributing will have their pledges aligned to the guidelines set in One-KC and will be given certificates corresponding to the categories specified:
- Regular Member – newly recruit and currently settling quarterly/annual pledges.
- Bronze Member – have recruited three (3) members , can sponsor one candidate to LSS/MSS
- Silver Member – have recruited five (5) members and can sponsor one candidate to MEWS
- Gold Member – recruited ten members and can sponsor one family to FWES
- Platinum Member – recruited ten members and can sponsor ten candidates to LSS/MSS
Funds generated in this project shall be utilized and allocated as follows:
70% - devoted to the spiritual growth activities namely LSS, MSS, FWES and MEWS.
30% - as provision for the lot and building project for the Community Center.
SORT, COLLECT AND DONATE FOR THE GARAGE SALE (SOCODOGS) will be led by Couples Ernie Lita Daez.
Items for donation may be anything from used clothes, books, appliances, furniture which you may not need but are still useful to others.
Small items may be brought in during the Friday prayer gathering and will be stored at the ELCO office. The big items may be coordinated with the Lead couples for pick up.
The target date of the Garage Sale is November 2010. Venue may be announced later. |
