SPECIAL MEETING on  May 09, 2007
(nine members of the BOT were present)

1. It was decided that the office should have a make-over and VContreras reported that JJLangkay will submit a quotation on office repairs & maintenance expenses.

2. Healing and Intercessory Workshop - The Board decided to temporarily suspend the workshop. VContreras was assigned to inform Fr. Bije on this and discuss/consult this matter with Fr. Domie for his suggestion/advice.

2. TV Mass - TMercado reported that the April TV Mass activity incurred a deficit. She urged everyone to support this through solicitation from ‘outside’ sources. TMercado made it clear that the deficit is only for the month of April. To date, the TV masses still generate revenues for the community. SAsia further said that should the TV mass become a liability or burden for us, there is no reason for the Board not to decide against the continuance of such sponsorship.

SAsia also reported that the TV Mass Committee shall request from Fr. Bel San Luis the approval of allotment of three (3) minutes air-time – for donors of TV Mass

3. Golf Tournament - LTabilog reported that the 2nd Golf Tournament will be held at Veterans Golf Course on July 1st at P2,000/ticket. The Board unanimously approved said fund raising project. LTabilog, will again be assisted by EJimenez in the preparation of letter, tickets, banner, giveaways, etc. The Board is enjoined to solicit/scout for sponsors.

4. Music Ministry Workshop – The Board approved the participation and subsidy of Mater Dei’s choir in the music workshop offered by the Creative House - Kerygma at San Carlos Seminary, Lay Formation Center, May 12, Saturday, 8am-5pm. Workshop fee is P250/person.

5. VContreras introduced/offered the selling of The Catholic Times. This is published monthly. The cost of the publication is P21. We can also place announcements, notices, etc free of charge in the paper.

6. MCo reported that the MEW held last April 13-15 had twenty one (21) couples and remitted an excess of P12,867.25.

7. The official representative of Mater Dei to the MEFP shall be SBSantos with SLAsia as alternate.

8. Names of prospective HCs for the seven regular apostolates and ministries and CCs for the four BOT apostolates and ministries were listed down in the board. After some discussions, some Trustees were assigned to talk to the prospective HCs and CCs for the purpose of inquiring from them whether or not they are willing to accept the appointment as HC or CC. The assigned Trustees will make a report on the next meeting.

REGULAR MEETING on May 23, 2007
(Oggie Thelma Mercado were absent)

1. The Board took note of the Treasurer’s Report  as of 23 May 2007 as submitted by PVContreras:

2. Healing & Intercessory -  With Fr. Domie’s concurrence, starting June 2007, Healing & Intercessory shall be conducted every 3rd Thursdays of the month replacing the Bible Study slot.  The Bible study shall then be conducted every 4th Friday of the month.  Both activities shall be handled/given by Fr. Domie.  Venue for Healing & Intercessory is tentatively set at MDMEC office,  while the BS, which will become the main agenda of our prayer gathering, will be held in Violago Chapel.  Start of BS will be announced later. 

3. Music Ministry Workshop -  CManuel reported the music workshop held May 12 at the San Carlos Seminary Formation Center, Guadalupe, Makati.  Twelve (12) persons from Mater Dei attended said workshop. 

4. Golf Tournament - EJimenez & LTabilog made a multi-media presentation as regards the 2nd Mater Dei Golf Tournament fund raising project.  The discussed the committees, rules,  ticket cost, projected revenues and expenses, prizes, etc.  They also sought the support of the board in soliciting sponsors for said tournament.  Down payment for tournament venue is P3,000.00

5. TV Mass - SAsia, in behalf of OTMercado, reported that the TV Mass sponsor for June 10 will be the Bureau of Customs c/o JTPetrache.

EGarcia asked for the TV Mass financial report to update the Board of its status. It was suggested that OTMercardo submit a financial report as regards the TV Mass. EGarcia offered her support/assistance, if needed.  There was a suggestion to revive the “pledges” as this would augment the resources needed by the Community to sustain its programs. CManuel stated that there is a need to have a person in charge of the pledges – its monitoring, follow-up, and collection.   
                       
6. Repairs & Refurbishing of MDMEC Office - SAsia read the proposal submitted by JJLangcay.  The Board unanimously approved the repainting of the office and allocated P7,690  for labor and materials. Color preference for the office is off-white or beige with blue lining/highlight.  Likewise, the disposal and selling of dilapidated equipments is now being done.  

7. Mass Wedding - MCo reported that the community’s mass wedding has bee moved from June 12 to August 21, 2007.
           
8. The Board also agreed to request CAM to assist Worship in the prayer gathering
(welcoming of members, distribution of envelopes to mass sponsors)
 
9. Updates - SAsia reported that there are very few contributors to our monthly publication, the Updates.  Heads of Apostolates/Ministries should appoint someone in their respective apostolates/ministries who shall be in charge of reporting and submitting write-ups of activities of their respective apostolates/ministries.
