SPECIAL MEETING on September 16, 2007
1. The Board approved SGA’s request that the Community conduct a Facilitator’s Workshop with RBohol and BZamora as resource persons. Date will be set by SGA in coordination with RTDM. Venue is ELCO. Prospective participants are the shepherds.
2. The Board approved the request of SGA that they be allowed to invite a maximum of three (3) speakers from outside of the community to talk during ME CLSS and ME MSS. However, the approval is only for MECLSS scheduled on October 6-7, 2007. Talks must be in accordance with the ME LSS format. Preference should be given to couple speakers.
3. October 6-7 LSS Venue: The Board approved the request of SGA to hold the ME LSS on October 6-7 at the Good Shepherd Love Center, 3rd Flr. Victoria Bldg., Quezon Ave., Q.C. Venue fee is P2,000 per day.
4. VContreras was requested to meet with the ME CLSS and ME MSS in-house speakers for the purpose, among others, of reminding them that their sharing of life experiences during their ME LSS talk should be different from their sharing during their ME MSS talk.
5. JPetrache submitted a hard bound compilation of BOT Minutes of the Meetings for the period April 2004 to March 2007.
6. The Board approved a shortened Shepherding seminar (two days). MLA should coordinate with RTDM as regards the details of the seminar. SAsia will review the MEW solicitation letter and will revise the same to include the reminder to donors that they should ask/demand for a receipt for their donations.
7. SAsia reminded the body that a portion of the Golf Tournament proceeds has been ear-marked for the purchase of a computer and the computerization of our Community records. OTMercado reported that Bro. Ed Jimenez turn-over an additional P70,000 coming from the Golf Tournament. The Board agreed to allocate P70,000 to buy desktop and laptop computers. Announcements shall be made in our prayer gathering to seek help from our members in the computer programming.

A.
MARRIAGE LIFE Apostolate
- 2008 MEW Schedule – every 3rd weekend (Fri., Sat.,Sun.)

- Solicitation Letters – Control measures shall be implemented effective November 2007, i.e. control numbers, issuance of
CAR/OR, and strict monitoring of MLA and shepherds of sponsoring class. SAsia shall review/revise MLA’s existing solicitation letter.
- Selection/List of Team Couples – MLA shall submit a list of Team Couples to the BOTs; the Board shall issue the respective assignments of Team Couples.
- SRey suggested a 2nd Collection every first Friday Mass to augment funds for MEW. The Board stated that personal solicitations from outside of the community is more effective.
B. WORSHIP Apostolate
1. Repair of mixer (sound system) – NManalo will coordinate with the Sound technician of the Good Shepherd M.E. Community and RCruz of General Services. The mixer broke down last Friday, Sept. 21.
2. The Board shall issue Notices of Board Action to all Apostolates and Ministries re: submission of announcements one (1) week before scheduled PG to Worship (RManalo and LVarilla), with corresponding acetates provided for by concerned Apostolate/Ministry; Worship shall do ALL the announcements, except for MEW appeal from the sponsoring class.
3. Sponsoring classes shall have standard appeal during Prayer Gathering so as not to consume much time and repetition of appeal. MCo shall coordinate with MLA on this.
4. Celebration of Holy Rosary (3rd Friday) October - NManalo informed the Board that there will be no invited speaker to give way to the culmination of the Holy Rosary. Families shall lead the prayer and meditation. October theme is: “The Family That Prays Together Stays Together”.
C. Spiritual Growth Apostolate
1. Mariology and Christology – this will be incorporated in the PG, 2nd or 3rd Friday. Nov. 16 is set for Christology, in time for Christ the King on Nov. 25. Fr. Gerry Tapiador will be invited as speaker.
2. Discipleship Seminar – The Board decided that effective 2008, Discipleship Seminar shall be incorporated in the Quarterly Workers’ Meeting, with DRodillas as resource speaker. Likewise, SCForum will also form part in the Workers’ Meeting.
D. Family Life Apostolate
1. The following were identified as mentors for the training of prospective team families, to wit:
- Mercado family
- Sumera family
- Mayor family
Some members of the BOT were requested to talk to prospective candidates for the Team Family training workshop. Target date: Feb. 9-10; 23-24, 2008
2. Advent Recollection, Nov. 18, 2007 - Recollection Master: Rev. Fr. Domie Guzman. No venue yet.
E. Music Ministry
1. SADE participation in PG - to coordinate with Music Ministry.
2. Musical Instruments - safekeeping and maintenance shall be done by Music Ministry and General Services.
3. MEW Music Team – The Board will review the guidelines in the MEW of Team Couples, Music Team, and sponsoring class, to avoid overlapping of functions esp. with Music Team.
4. 2nd Collection in PG – The Board agreed to have 2nd collections in the PG to raise funds for musical instruments, microphones, mixer, etc.
F. Temporalities Ministry
1. Fund Raising through raffle - launching date is set October 19, 2007. Raffle will be done in Christmas Party on Dec. 29.
CNBautista will be assisting RCatacutan in the mechanics of the Raffle. RCatacutan will submit raffle theme.
G. Traditional & Special Events
1. Family Fun Day, October 28, 2007.

1. Head Couples shall submit their records of activities to the BOT Asst. Secretary LEGarcia for submission to JPetrache.
F. Computerization of MDMEC - EGarcia volunteered to look for a computer programmer who will write and develop a program for our database.
REGULAR MEETING on September 26, 2007
1. MEFP Festival of Songs
1.1. Music Ministry informed the Board that due to time and budget constraints, we will no longer join this year’s festival of songs.
1.2. SSantos reported that there will be parade of banners of M.E. communities. MEFP Festival of Songs slated on 17 November 2007, ULTRA. MEFP is also requesting for an updated MDMEC BOT Directory, with brief history of MDMEC.
2. ‘BALIK’ MATER DEI - MCo reported the following activities for the month of October:
2.1. 1st Friday Mass - invited old members who were also graduates of F.E.W. to form part in the Liturgy as lectors & offerors.
2.2. 3rd Week of PG - culmination of the month of the Holy Rosary.
Both activities were coordinated with Worship Ministry.
3. UPDATES - BHObrero (c/o EGarcia), and LTabilog will advertise one (1) whole page and one-fourth page (1/4) in the October issue, with cost of P1,000 and P250, respectively.
4. TV Mass Sponsorship - The Board agreed to continue our TV sponsorship until October 2007 only due to sponsors’ fatigue. OTMercado shall inform Fr. Bel San Luis on this. Instead, monthly pledges from our members shall be strenghtened to supplement our community’s expenditures. |
