A. TRADITIONAL & SPECIAL EVENTS:
1. NLMorales presented/reported the upcoming activities of TS&E:
1.1. Family Fun Day – Venue is tentatively set at Christ the King.
NMorales will prepare letter to Hapee toothpaste
as major sponsor of MDMEC’s Fun day. Team composition
shall be per Class No. ending. BOTs will act as team coordinators. All Apostolates/Ministries shall be in support to this activity.
1.2. Christmas Party, Dec. 28, 2008 - Venue is QC Sports Club to be coordinated by OTMercado. Raffle prizes shall be solicited from BOTs and MDMEC members.
B. MARRIAGE LIFE APOSTOLATE:
1. MEW - CAytona made their appeal on October MEW
Sponsorship – for candidates and financial support. The Board approved additional appeals during the Prayer Gathering in Violago of sponsoring class 258 – 3rd & 4th Fridays of September,
1st & 2nd Fridays of October.
MLA is considering near-by (Metro Manila) retreat houses for the year 2009.
2. Shepherding - JGeronimo clarified the schedule of SCForum which is currently integrated with the Workers’ Assembly because of problems in attendance. She emphasized the importance of fellowship/bonding among Shepherds, Coordinators/Co-Coordinators. MLA shall include this in their 2009 MLA Planning Conference Activities.
Prospective shepherds who have undergone Shepherding Seminar shall be presented to the Board on Sept. 23, BOT Regular Meeting,
8PM, ELCO.
3. Recruitment - LReyes made his clarification on the selection of MEW candidates, as to religious denomination, marital status. The Board reiterated MDMEC’s guidelines on these. Recruitment through schools was also considered.
C. Workers’ Assembly, September 7, NAPOCOR - TS&E is in charge of the Registration. Activities/presentations like Teambuilding, Gatherings on Fire Seminar, & Launching of MDMEC’s Vision/Mission Song shall be done by MLA, Worship, & Music Apostolate/Ministries, respectively. |

2. Pre-Planning Meeting, Sept. 21, 2008, ELCO, 8AM – 5PM
Schedule of Activities on Pre-Planning were distributed and approved by the Board. CManuel to inform all concerned on their respective schedule and will follow up the Activities/Plans Forms for submission before 21 September. Planning Conference proper is set on October 26.
3. Funeral/Burial assistance
The Board approved the increase of funeral/burial assistance to relatives of deceased members from P500 to P1,000, effective September 2008.
4. Pledges - VContreras reported that only forty (40) members have
so far responded to the call for Pledges. Financial subsidy to MLA on the overhead expenses for Team Priest, Team Couples, etc. is high on the list of matters to be considered by the Board. The positive response of members in the Pledges shall be an important consideration in the funding of subsidy. Target date for implementation is January 2009. |

REPORTS FROM APOSTOLATES/MINISTRIES
1. S G A - The Board approved the request of NManalo to hold a Facilitators’ Workshop on September 13, 2008, 1-5PM, ELCO.
The seminar is open to:
1.1. those who have attended LSS/MSS
1.2. shepherds who have not yet attended the seminar
1.3. all SGA workers
NManalo also suggested that the Facilitator’s Seminar should form part of the Shepherding Program. The Board shall discuss this in their next meeting.
2. WORSHIP - LVarilla reported on the seminar “Gatherings on Fire” which they attended last August 16, 2008. This was handled by Creative House (Kerygma). Five (5) members from the Worship Ministry attended, namely: RLVarilla, NMAlarma, & CInocencio. LVarilla was requested to give a report on the seminar during the Workers’ Assembly scheduled on September 7, 2008 at NAPOCOR.
3. TRADITIONAL & SPECIAL EVENTS - NLMorales reported the following:
3.1. Family Fun Day - tentatively set at DAR, October 12, 2008. The Board of Trustees shall be assigned as leaders of each team/group. Composition of each team shall be:

3.2. Christmas Party – December 28, 2008. NLMorales will scout for a suitable venue. Food/Venue cost estimate is P250/pax.
4. MUSIC - FGuballa -
4.1. requested coordination from other apostolates/ministries when providing their music assistance, i.e. seminars, mass, etc.
4.2. informed the Board that they are now putting melody in MDMEC’s Vision/Mission.
4.3. requesting the participation of sponsoring class in Violago – to join Music Ministry in action/singing.
5. O R A - RMalicdem reported that ORA shall initiate an Ugnayan Class in Mandaluyong City on August 23, 2008. The Community shall provide financial assistance for the outreach project.
6. M L A - RVenezuela reported that eight (8) couples attended the Shepherding Seminar conducted by the Marriage Encounter Foundation of the Philippines at the Center for Family Ministries Office, Diliman,Quezon City. Edwin Richie Rebollido have been assigned as Shepherds of Class 258. There will be an MLA orientation of prospective shepherds regarding their duties and responsibilities on September 13, Saturday, 8AM – 12 Noon. |
