1. TREASURER'S REPORT:

The Board took note of the Treasurer’s Report as of 22 July 2008, as submitted by PVContreras:

                                                                              P  944,523.62

VContreras also reported that  RCde Paz already remitted the P1,800.00, representing the deficit indicated in their MEW Financial Report. VContreras will again remind RNGuerrero and BMLopez as regards their class’ accountabilities.  MLA HC RVVenezuela have not yet given their reply to the Notice of Board Action given by CManuel regarding these.

2. KEEPING THE FIRES BURNING - The Board approved the awarding of certificates of perfect attendance to MDMEC members on the following dates:

• July  -  Sept.  (3rd Qtr.)            -      October 3, 2008
• Oct.  -  Dec.   (4th Qtr.)            -      January  9, 2009

          
3. LIVELIHOOD - LTabilog will inquire from TESDA re training/seminars on different livelihood programs.

4. PLEDGES - DSMayor were tapped to contact and solicit pledges from members of older classes.  The Board will meet on July 25, Friday after the PG to discuss details of Pledges.

5. ELCO Rental - ELCO Management issued a letter to MDMEC on increase of office rental of 10%.  Current monthly rental is P11,206.82, inclusive of telephone line.  AFernandez was tasked to negotiate with ELCO Management for a possible increase of 5% only.

6. QUARTERLY MEETING WITH HCs - The Board agreed to the holding of Quarterly meeting with Head Couples, with the following schedule: August 19, 2008 and November 11, 2008

7. WORKERS’ RECOLLECTION - August 3, 2008, 9AM – 5PM, NAPOCOR Canteen. Recollection Master is Fr. Domie Guzman.  MDMEC will provide the snacks.  Lunch is pot luck.
