REGULAR MEETING, November 25, 2008
 

I. BOT MEETING WITH HEAD COUPLES:

1. M L A - SAsia reiterated the policies and guidelines of the community in the recruitment of MEW candidates for strict observance and compliance, to cite:

  • Married, Christian couples (preferably Catholics;
  • Literate
  • Have adequate means to sustain attendance of community
    activities, and
  • Who can pay for the seminar/registration fee.

The group was also reminded of the Workers’ Meeting set on Dec. 7, 10 AM, Patio Conchita, Beaterio St., Intramuros, Manila. Guest Speaker: Bro. Domeng Rodillas. Grand Marian Procession will follow in the afternoon, 2PM, Intramuros, Manila.

2. WORSHIP

2.1. The Board reiterated that proper attire must be worn by
Sponsoring Class in Violago:
- 1st Fridays (Mass) : Sunday attire
2nd, 3rd, & 4th Fridays : Class uniform

2.2. LVarilla reported that mass kit bag is already worn out.
2.3. NManalo was appointed as coordinator of Lay Ministers.
2.4. Usherettes (sponsoring class) shall be assigned to guide
MDMEC members to occupy front seats.
2.5. Purchase of ‘hands-free’ microphone shall be discussed
by the Board.
2.6. Set-up/safekeeping all of musical instruments/sound system shall be handled by Music Ministry. JFGuballa appointed
Jun Fe Guiang and Phey Lovely Ortega as persons-in- charge.

3. S G A

3.1. NManalo reported that Speakers’ Workshop (part 2) is
set on February 2009 with Fr. Domie as resource speaker.

4. O R A

4.1. RMalicdem expressed his gratitude to the Board especially to PVContreras & LWTabilog, for the support they gave to
its outreach activity held in “Tahanan ni Maria’ .

4.2. Dec. 21, 2008 – Outreach activity in Smokey Mountain.
Old clothes and food items will be solicited for this project.

4.3. Ugnayan Class
- Holy Cross Parish in Cainta is requesting
for one-day Ugnayan; tentative date is February 2009
subject to availability of Ugnayan Team Couples.
- Bauang Parish, La Union – ORA is requested by
the Board to submit letter and profile of prospects.

5. R T D M - FNLachica reported/suggested that:

5.1. Fullness of Life is set on June 13, 2009. SBSantos
will request MEFP to send participants from other
communities. Seminar fee: P250/pax (2 days)
5.2. Shepherding Seminar be conducted as live-in
(weekend). RTDM will submit proposal/module of
the seminar. Date of Seminar: March 7 & 8, 2009.

6. MUSIC - JFGuballa presented the concept of Concert for a

Cause: ‘BUILDING A DREAM’, with the following tag line:

“DREAM, BELIEVE, UNITE, REALIZE”

JFGuballa will submit their study/projection of this project soon.

The Board approved the suggestion of the Music Ministry that they will have caroling activity to cover miscellaneous expenses in the pre-planning of said concert.

Music Ministry requested for clarification as regards the room accommodation allotted for Music Team/Instrumentalist during MEW. At present, only one (1) room is assigned to Music Team/Instrumentalist. The Board will review this.

II. TREASURER’S REPORT:

1. The Board took note of the Treasurer’s Report as of 25 November 2008, as submitted by PVContreras:

Cash in Bank (Savings/Current Account) P 150,062.36
Special Deposit (Lot/Building Fund) 705,700.00

The Treasurer also reported the following:
· NGuerrero already settled the balance of P600.00.
· Class 259 paid P1,000; remaining balance is only P700.
· VContreras corrected the total amount reflected/incurred in
MDMEC Planning Conference: from P14,500 to P14,900.

The Board decided to recall the transportation allowance of P1,000 being given to MLA monthly effective January 2009 as venue for MEW for 2009 will be held near in Metro Manila.

III. OTHER MATTERS:

1. Hands-free microphone - SBSantos informed the Board that Mr. Gary already presented the product to the MEFP Board.

2. Solicitation letter of Sto. Nino de Violago – The Board approved P2,000 as Ad sponsor. SAsia shall be in charge of MDMEC’s lay-out.

3. Grand Marian Procession Letter – CManuel presented to
the Board the letter from Manila Cathedral (c/o Chit Escosio)
re: Marian procession rules and guidelines on Dec. 7, Sunday.

REGULAR MEETING, November 4, 2008
 

1. TREASURER’S REPORT:

The Board took note of the Treasurer’s Report as of 31 October 2008, as submitted by PVContreras:

Cash in Bank (Savings/Current Account) P 166,708.14
Special Deposit (Lot/Building Fund) 703,000.00

The Treasurer also reported the following:
Total expenses incurred in the recently concluded MDMEC Planning Conference held last October 26 only amounted to P14,500.00.

Class 259 already remitted P5,800.00 — balance is only P1,700.00.
RNGuerrero balance — P600.00.

The Treasurer was requested to have a breadown of Love Offerings remitted by the different Apostolates/Ministries in the Treasurer’s Report.

2. MARRIAGE LIFE APOSTOLATE:

2.1. DEEPENING GUIDE - SBSantos was requested to compare the Deepening Guide/Shepherd’s Manual being distributed by MLA with that of the MEFP Manual. The Trustees shall also be furnished copies of the MDMEC Manual.

2.2. RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES - In response to an issue raised during the recently concluded planning session, the Board would like to reiterate the strict implementation of the following guidelines as regard who should be recruited for an MEW:

Married Christian Couples (preferably Catholics)
Literate
Have adequate means to attend ME activities
Preferably couples who can afford to pay the
registration fees.

MLA should require the sponsoring class to return the MEW Seminar Application Forms so that they could monitor the progress of the recruitment of candidates.

3. MEFP Festival of Songs - The Community purchased 30 tickets @ P100 = P3,000 in support of the MEFP songfest.

4. Advent Recollection – Announcements should be made as regards the Family Advent Recollection on November 16, 2008 starting 9:30 AM at the Violago Chapel. Bro. Obet Cabrillas will be the speaker in the morning. In the afternoon, Fr. Domie Guzman will give talk and shall celebrate Mass afterwards.
