4. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
- Livelihood – LTabilog, as committee head, shall be reminded of his report/update.
- Keep the Fires Burning – Record of members’ attendance are not accurate because not all are registering in the log book.
Board approved implementation of the ff:
- actual headcount in PG to get accurate number of attendees
- separate list of logbook for shepherds, coordinators, co-coordinators, MEW classes. This shall take effect July 3, 2009.
- Catechism not a regular activity due to lack of time
- Envelopes for prayer for the souls of the departed to be implemented this year
- Pledges – VContreras reported that only 38 couple members are regular pledgors, with an average of P11-15K total monthly pledge. For the existing pledgors, names of deceased members of the family shall be included in the intercessory prayers/mass intentions (c/o VContreras)
- MEFP Update – SSantos reported the MEFP’s involvement on issues of graft & corruption. Mater Dei supports MEFP’s Moral Force Movement.
5. Chapters & Affiliates - The Board formally acknowledged ME Live-out graduates of Llano Chapter as bonafide members of Mater Dei and therefore, should comply with MDMEC’s existing rule on payments of:
1.1. membership and sustaining fees
1.2. annual dues
SAsia shall write a letter addressed to Llano Chapter.
6. Workers’ Installation, July 3, 8PM Holy Mass
- Workers shall be remided to dress appropriately for the ocassion
- Snacks will be served after the mass.
7. MEFP is inviting MDMEC to attend the CPPJ Witnessing for Justice & Peace Weekend Seminar on October 24-25, 8am – 5pm, Spiritual Pastoral Center Bldg. (CEFAM), Ateneo de Manila University
Campus.
8. MDMEC donated P1,000 to St. Anthony Foundation – solicited by
Fr. Vino Flaminialagao.
9. Council of Elders – The Board reviewed the duties/functions and SAsia will prepare a clean draft based on some suggestions made by the Board. This will be taken up again in the next Board meeting. |
